I think one of my favorite things was spending the day walking the Beltline and it was a gorgeous day! The Atlanta Beltline is 33 miles of trails that is pedestrian and dog friendly. So many people use it and it was neat to see all of the beautiful artwork along the way. You will be in awe of the talent and creativity that these artists have put into their creations. Oh my word, I went electric bike riding for the very first time with a company called Atlanta Cruzers. When I first found out I was going on a bike ride, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. If you are not in the mood to peddle or break a sweat, no problem! I didn’t peddle, not even once. This is a must do if you are ever in Atlanta! Touring Atlanta on an electric bike is an unforgettable experience.
Want to know the history of Atlanta? This is the way to go! Visiting the Atlanta History Center is like taking a step back in time. It’s safe to say that this is the place to learn about the history of Atlanta. While on the property of the history center, make sure you check out the Swan House as well. It will leave you breathless.
Who doesn’t love some shopping? I love shopping and had an incredible time at the Shops of Buckhead. I felt like I was on Rodeo Dr in LA. It’s actually amazing how many different shops there are at Buckhead. Some of my favorite shops are not something that are just down the road from me. I especially loved having access to shops like Jimmy Choo, La Perla, Kit Ace, or Dior.
This was such a unique market to experience, I loved it. Ponce City Market has so much to offer. From the classic structure to the Central Food Hall. We had some delicious Puerto Rican Caribbean food at El Super Pan. The margaritas were just an added bonus.
There are several places to dine at. I heard H&F Burger was pretty yummy too. I’ll have to check them out on my next visit. Don’t forget, you can’t leave without purchasing some macaroons! A visit to Ponce De Market is a must while in Atlanta.
While at Ponce De Market, take an old freight elevator up to the rooftop. If you want to see some spectacular views of Atlanta, this is a cool way to see it! While you are up there, grab some drinks or food and have some fun. There are games, mini golf, and slides. You’ll feel like you are at a carnival. Admission is only $10 for adults.
I love everything about the Fox. They never disappoint with their beautiful theater, exemplary service, and incredible shows & performances. A behind the scenes tour is a must do when you are in Atlanta.
Jimmy Carter Library and MLK Jr National Historic Site
Are you really into history? Then I highly recommend visiting Jimmy Carter Library and MLK Jr National Historic Site while in Atlanta. Did you know that Atlanta is of only two cities in the World to be home to two Nobel Peace Prize winners – Jimmy Carter (2002) and Dr Martin Luther King, Jr. (1964).
The Atlanta Farmer’s Market is known to be one of the largest farmer’s market of its kind. Something that everyone should visit when in Atlanta. Your eyes won’t believe all of the activities and retail available plus you can purchase delicious, fresh fruit an veggies at a great price!
With Atlanta being a popular city for the filming industry, you definitely should go on an Atlanta Movie Tour. There are a variety of movie tours to choose from like Hunger Games, Gone With the Wind, Marvel’s Avengers and many others. The guides are experienced actors with inside knowledge. Bring your camera-you’ll want to snap some photos!
You will capture some of the most stunning gardens you will ever see at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. The Atlanta Botanical Gardens bring a whole new meaning to beauty. It is especially pretty to visit in the Spring and Fall. During Christmas, they have the annual Garden Lights.
