Family Friendly Hotel Near Disney Springs – Wyndham Lake Buena Vista

If you are looking for a family friendly hotel with a great pool and within walking distance to Disney Springs, then Wyndham Lake Buena Vista is a great choice. Wyndham LBV is an official Walt Disney World® Choice hotel and only a five minute walk to Disney Springs.

Wyndham Disney Springs

Not only is this property in a great location, it also offers daily shuttle service to all the Walt Disney World theme parks and Orlando Premium Outlets. If you are looking for a more affordable hotel option with the Disney conveniences, this Wyndham location would be perfect for you and your family.  I was provided a media rate to help facility this review; however, thoughts and opinions are my own.

Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Newly Renovated

Wyndham Lake Beuna Vista has done a great job with the recent renovations. The rooms are nicely decorated with updated lakehouse themed furnishings and very spacious. They offer two types of room accommodations at Wyndham Lake Buena Vista; the Towers and the Gardens. There are a total of 232 rooms located in the Tower.  We stayed in the Towers (picture of room below) and had a great view of Disney Springs. At night, we could even see fireworks from our window. Wyndham Garden Lake offers 394 guest rooms which are more courtyard style, which we did not stay in. The Garden rooms are a more affordable option as the Towers provides you a more luxury style feel.

Valet and Parking

You are greeted at the front of the hotel with very friendly and helpful staff members. Parking or Valet is very affordable at $12 per day. I would recommend to valet because the parking can get very full and you may have a light walk to your room or lobby. They do have elevators near the parking area.

Lobby

The lobby is very comfortable and welcoming with an updated and fresh decor. Many nights we enjoyed lounging on the sofas in the lobby.

In the morning, we enjoyed coffee and pastries from their Sundial 24-7 Cafe. Although, there was a coffee maker in my room, you can’t go to Disney and not have a delicious Joffrey’s Latte or Coffee. I might add that the pastries were to die for!

At night, we would stop by the bar area and enjoy a glass of wine (or two). The bar is open till around midnight.

I was also impressed to see a gift shop in the lobby. Just in case you forget to buy that souvenir before you leave to head home. They have all types of Disney keepsakes. Also, you can avoid the lines at the guest services within the theme parks and instead purchase your tickets right here at the Wyndham.

Recreation

The Wyndham offers great recreational facilities. The Oasis Style Pool & Aquatic Pool Playground are great especially for those really hot days in Florida. They have two outdoor swimming pool and the main pool is heated. They also offer the Oasis Poolside Bar & Grill where you can order light snacks, lunches and drinks by the pool side.Kids Play Area at Wyndham LBV

The even have a tennis, volleyball, basketball court, even a fitness center, but we did not have a chance to enjoy them on this trip.

Character Breakfast

What really impressed me the option to enjoy a Disney Character Breakfast right on site. This is something you typically will only find in Disney Theme parks and at Official Disney Hotel properties. You don’t have to worry about rushing to your breakfast dining reservations off property for that character experience when it is conveniently offered right here at the Wyndham! Disney Character Breakfast at WyndhamCharacter breakfast is offered Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings. They offer a wide variety of kid friendly food items served buffet style. Your kids will really enjoy the character breakfast! I highly recommend it! Let’s not forget, you can’t go to Disney without enjoying a Mickey Waffle. Mickey Waffle

Location, Location, Location

Have I mentioned already that Wyndham LBV is in the perfect location? When I look for what is important to me when traveling, location is on the top of the list. Hands down I would have to say that the Wyndham is located in the perfect location to Disney Springs.

If you haven’t been to Disney Springs, you need to! Disney Springs offers over 150 venues, shopping and entertainment. No reason to get in your vehicle to drive there. There is a convenient bridge leading you to Disney Springs right from the Wyndham parking lot. You will be there in five minutes, if even.

My Final Thoughts

Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with this Wyndham property and would definitely stay here again when visiting Walt Disney World or Disney Springs. This property is a very family friendly hotel offering everything you need and affordable so you can definitely stay under budget. They also take pride in their customer service as the staff all were super friendly and helpful. If you stay here, you may even find some hidden Mickeys!

  1. Thanks for the review of the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista property! We will be visiting Walt Disney World in late October staying on property but are planning to stay 2 nights off property so we may check out this location. The rooms look spacious and more modern than most we’ve looked at and I know the kids will love the water play area!

  2. That sounds incredible! I have been to Disneyland and Disney World, but never stayed in a hotel there, (we camped or just visited for the day). But I really, really want to though. Sounds like heaven. Just love coffee and pastries in the morning. And so nice that you can buy tickets onsite at the hotel. Will definitely keep this hotel in mind if we ever stay in the Orlando area. Thank you for the review!

  4. We were just discussing going back to WDW and either finding a hotel off site, or staying at the Shades of Green. Thanks for your honest review.
