Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Show Pigeon Forge

Hatfied &Mccoy

We live about four hours from Pigeon Forge, TN –one of my favorite places to visit in Tennessee. My grandkids on the other hand live only a short thirty minute drive. They can visit and enjoy all the entertainment & attractions that Pigeon Forge has to offer anytime they want.  However, they have never seen the Hatfield & McCoy dinner show and I just knew the grandboys would love it !  It is a super fun show to see….not to mention you better come HUNGRY!

The minute you arrive, the boys spotted out the farm animals!  They jumped up and down with excitement. We took lots of pictures of course and they could have stood there forever if we let them.  We saw billy goats, pigs, chickens, & bunny rabbits.

The minute you walk in you will feel like a kid in a candy store with all the goodies in their gift shop. Unique gifts that you may not find anywhere else. Of course the kids loved the fish tank.

You will want to get there about 45 minutes before the show.  A line begins to form early but don’t worry. Your tickets are already assigned to tables. They do let you in a little bit ahead of time but once you sit down, your cuzins (those are your waiters and waitresses) will begin serving your meal immediately. Did I mention already… you better come HUNGRY!  Granny cooked up some delicious all you can eat smashed taters , corn on the cob, rolls, fried chicken, coleslaw, bbq, and you can’t forget her delicious, creamy soup. My comfort food… Good ‘ole fashioned country cooking. Yippeeee!!! … and you heard me correctly….”all you can eat!”  You definitely get your money’s worth just in the food. It was so yummy & the best dinner show food I have ever had. I’m not exaggerating!  TIP: Make sure to tip your cuzins well. They deserve it. Our service was outstanding.

While you are eating they do begin to sing but they do give you some time to eat before they begin the actual show.  I especially loved how they included the kids from the audience. The kids were asked to come down on stage and dance, act like farm animals, and sing along.  You will want to buy a CD before you leave – they will definitely be on it!  Be prepared for some cuteness here 🙂

There is acting, country singing, banjo & guitar playing, even some acrobatics!  My favorite was the clogging. For those who don’t know me well, my brother and I use to clog when we were kids. There is something for everyone to enjoy.

My dear husband especially loved the song “Rocky Top” . That just tickled his fancy.  Sorry Georgia fans!  I especially loved the comedy act and laughed throughout. For those of you who do not know, the Hatfield & McCoy family was a real family dating back from the late 1800s.  Although not entirely accurate or verbatim, the show was just a fun comedy depicting this family feud. I won’t spoil the ending to this fabulous show. You’ll just have to come see it for yourself. I can’t wait to go back at Christmas and see it again!

Oh I almost forgot…. Don’t forget to pick up some delicious cream soup on your way out! We bought some for our son in law.  During the show he probably ate five bowls of it! I’m not kidding.

For TICKETS don’t forget to check out some of the other great shows they have to offer while you are visiting.  You will get the best bang for your buck with their combo offer. They also offer group discounts as well.
