The Rock Ranch: Hot Air Balloon Rides, Firework Shows & Wagon Camping

The Rock Ranch, founded by the late S. Truett Cathy of Chick-fil-A, is a beautiful 1,500 acre working cattle ranch located about an hour south of Atlanta in Upson County. It’s a place where families, school groups, and even businesses can come to enjoy what we call “agritourism.” The Rock Ranch is dedicated to “Growing Healthy Families!”

The farm invites the public to enjoy hot air balloon experiences (weather permitting), a massive firework show,
meet and greet opportunities with “Captain America”, bubble celebration shows, 25+ unique
attractions, a DJ, and much more. The event begins at 2 p.m. and will be complete after the fireworks
around 10 p.m.

Celebrate America will offer new activities this year including tethered hot air balloon rides, ($5/kids,
$10/adults), and a beautiful Ferrell Gas balloon glow at dusk – all weather permitting. Other additions
include photo opportunities with “Captain America”, life-size bubble celebration shows, and cash prizes
for the most patriotic guests. The Rock Ranch encourages visitors to get creative with their red, white,
and blue wardrobe; cash prizes will be awarded to participants from infants to grandparents.

The Rock Ranch has a variety of farm attractions including locomotive train rides, a
watermelon cannon, pony rides, Tiny Town (a wildly popular themed miniature village), paddle boats, a
giant jumping pillow and many others.
