Six Flags Holiday In The Park

This past week I was invited to Six Flags Over Georgia Holiday in the Park Media Night.  All opinions expressed here are my own. They didn’t have to ask me twice considering two of my all time favorite things are roller coasters and Christmas lights! Named one of the top Christmas events in Georgia for 2017, the world record-holding Holiday in the Park® now is in its sixth season. It includes 16 intricately themed areas, 29 holiday rides, dazzling live shows and festive seasonal food, making Holiday in the Park the most magical time of the year. Here are some highlights to look forward to.

Main Street Christmas

We arrived in time to get our adrenaline going on a couple of rides before making our way back to Main Street for the lighting of the tree. The magical Main Street Christmas park entrance includes 165,000 twinkling light canopy and artificial snow. We couldn’t help but feel festive surrounded by twinkling lights, the enormous tree, and even snow falling around us. We counted down to the lighting of the tree and then everyone sang along with the carolers.

There were plenty of photo opportunities throughout the park but my favorite was the retro Christmas area and the huge Santa Clause.

On a cold night you can roast s’mores over the fire or grab a cup of hot cocoa.

We also made sure to check out the Rejoice Nativity which is a beautiful reminder of the reason for the season.

North Pole Express

Don’t forget to step on board the North Pole Express train ride to see Santa at the North Pole.

Metropolis Park

Also New this year, Metropolis Park will light up the Georgia night with hundreds of blue and white sparkling lights, along with two new iconic super hero rides now open for Holiday in the Park – JUSTICE LEAGUE: Battle For Metropolis in 4D and SUPERMAN: Ultimate Flight.

Candlelight Carousel

The iconic highlight of the night was the Candlelight Carousel with its magical white lights and timeless beauty, featuring more than 100,000 lights and 250 luminary candles.
