How do you poke a poke cake?

There are a few ways to do this, but I prefer to use the handle of a wooden spoon and just poke holes in the cake that way!

What is a poke cake?

To describe it simply, a poke cake is a cake that you poke holes into after baking. These holes are then filled with jelly, chocolate, or other flavorings!

Does this cake need to be refrigerated?

Depending on the type of filling you use, you may need to refrigerate the poke cake. This just depends if the filling is perishable or not.

Where did poke cake originate?

Poke Cake originated in 1970s by the Jell-O company. They were looking for ways to change up how their products were used and thus the Poke Cake was born!
